Finding Value In The Early NCAA Football Totals Part 2

by admin on Friday, July 5th, 2013

NCAA LogoWhen early over and under win totals came out for most of the major college football teams for next season, NCAA football fans who love to wager and there are quite a few of them out there, were clamoring to go over the numbers seeking value hidden in the totals.

The Washington Huskies are coming off of a mediocre season last year when they barely managed to stay above .500.  They are predicted to do a little better in the coming season and win over 7.5 games.  The experts say (-120).

The Wisconsin Badgers are also expected to win more games than last year. Although most are picking Ohio State to win the big 10 outright, don’t count out the Badgers.  Early win totals were set at 8.5 and the experts are giving new head coach Gary Andersen and crew the over and (-210).

Of course, the returning powerhouse in NCAA Football for next year has to be the Alabama Crimson Tide…hands down.  5Dimes set their win total at 11.5 and Covers Expert Will Rogers expects them to cover that with no problem. Over 11.5 (+170)

The Louisville Cardinals did well in just about every major sport last season and the opening win totals say that they will likely continue that trend…at least on the gridiron.  The Cardinals are predicted to win over 10.5 games and the experts are pointing out the easy schedule and the strong possibility that Louisville could actually run the table next year.  Over 10.5 (-155)

Although the Vanderbilt Commodores are currently ranked near the bottom of the SEC for the coming year, their stock is on the rise and 5Dimes gave them a rather generous 7.5 win total for next season. Over 7.5… the experts are calling a pick.

The football program at Stanford has been on a steady rise since the days of Jim Harbaugh.  They are 23-4 over the past two seasons and poised to strike again next year. 5Dimes set the Cardinals win total at 9.5 and the experts say (-145) to that.

The surprise team in the Big 10 for next year could turn out to be sleepy Northwestern in Evanston.  The Wildcats had 10 wins last year and 15 starters returning. Opening win totals were set at 8.5 and, once again, the experts are calling it a push.
