Rams Look To Stay Unbeaten As They Host Vikings

by admin on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018

vikings vs rams tnf 2018Thursday Night Football features a classic NFC matchup between the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams and the Minnesota Vikings.

For the Vikings, who are coming off an ugly 27-6 loss at home against the Buffalo Bills, this will be a tough challenge not only because of the long road trip but because they had to prepare to face one of the most complete teams in the NFL on a very short week.

The Vikings will benefit from the return of center Pat Elflein to the lineup as Minnesota is facing one of the most talented defensive interiors in Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald.

The Vikings center position has to be strong not only to bolster the performance of the offensive line but for them to have a chance in this game. After mostly lackluster performances in the first three games of the season Elflein services will undoubtedly be welcomed back with open arms.

The Vikings linebackers also have to step up to keep the Rams offense off the field. They will have to find ways to bring the pressure on quarterback Jared Goff and stop the Rams outside runs if they want to win.

It’s no secret that Los Angeles’ offense can put a lot of pressure on the opposing secondary with several very dynamic and versatile players they have such as running back Todd Gurley and wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

In fact, Cooks and fellow receivers Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods will be essential to keep the chains moving against the Vikings aggressive defense as they are likely to be targeted on third down and other critical situations.

The Los Angeles secondary will also need to have a good game as they face a tough challenge against the Vikings excellent receiving unit and quarterback Kirk Cousins. Expect the Rams secondary to see a lot of action and be under constant pressure all game long tomorrow.

Expect the Rams to take this game at home as third-year quarterback Jared Goff continues to play some of the best football of his career and the Rams defense will prove too much for Cousins and the rest of the Vikings offense.
