Celtics Out To Prove They’re For Real As They Host Warriors

by admin on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017

kyrie irving boston celticsThe 13-2 Boston Celtics host the 11-3 Golden State Warriors tomorrow night in a matchup of conference leaders that will give us a taste of a possible NBA Finals preview.

The Celtics, winners of thirteen straight, have the number one defense in the league, while the Warriors, winners of seven consecutive games, have the number one offense in the league.

When these two teams battle it out on national television on Thursday night will be in for a rare treat. The Celtics will look to hand out Golden State a heavy dose of Kyrie Irving and his wizardry, while the Warriors will rely on Steph Curry’s genius to earn the win.

The Celtics are looking more and more like the team of the future in the Eastern Conference, while the Warriors have already cemented their place as the best team in the Western Conference.

The Celtics have young players, a talented and experienced playmaker in Irvin,g and a bright coaching staff that has them well on the way to win a championship. If they do not accomplish it this season they look more than capable of getting one in the next few seasons.

And it wouldn’t be outlandish to think that if Isaiah Thomas doesn’t return to the Cleveland Cavaliers in top shape to help them improve dramatically, the Celtics could take the number one spot in the East and reach the NBA Finals without much challenge.

This game will be an interesting challenge for the Celtics highly-regarded defense as the Warriors are the best offense they have faced so far. Can the Celtics, who on average allow 94.5 points per game, hold Golden State’s high-powered offense to less than 100 points tomorrow night?

Even though Curry is struggling this season shooting from the three-point arc the Warriors are still the best offense in the NBA scoring 119.6 points per game, so if the Celtics win they will send a message to the rest of the league that they should be considered serious title contenders this season.

For those planning to bet on the game, the Celtics are seven-point underdogs with the total at 215 and the moneylines are -300 for Golden State and +240 for Boston.
