Harvick Goes For 4th Cup Win In A Row At Auto Club 400

by admin on Friday, March 16th, 2018

auto club speedwayAfter his victory at ISM Raceway last week Kevin Harvick has now won three races in a row and he seems to be daring anyone to bet against him winning again as NASCAR moves to Fontana, California, for the Auto Club 400.

Harvick seemed to be sending a message with his statement win last week. This season so far when people doubt Harvick and think he can’t outdo himself anymore he goes out and does it again to shows people how strong and good he is this year.

After winning in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Phoenix in the last three weeks Harvick is now looking to win his fourth in a row by taking the checkered flag at the Auto Club Speedway of California.

Harvick’s win was the cherry on top for Stewart Haas Racing, which had all four of its cars finishing in the top 10 for the first time ever. SHR is doing everything right at the moment, as they manage to overcome any adversity and fin a way to race flawless races.

Fontana is the final race of NASCAR’s current West Coast Swing, but also one of the most challenging and fun tracks to race at.

Fontana is a passing-friendly track that allows a lot of action and overtaking as cars can run six-wide on this track from top to bottom.

As for the favorites to win this week, it would be crazy to pick against Harvick and his chances of winning four in a row. He’s racing superbly, he has momentum and he won there in 2011. Since then, he’s had three top-five finishes proving that he’s always competitive in this venue. Bet against him at your own risk.

Kyle Larson, last year’s winner, is also a strong as he has two top-3 finishes at Fontana in four races there (finished second in 2014) and is amazing when he’s racing up at the top of this race track.

Kyle Busch is also another strong driver at Fontana, where he’s won three times. After finishing second to Harvick in the last two races he will be looking forward to this race to finally beat him and climb at the top of the podium.

Harvick will seek to become the ninth NASCAR driver since 1972 to take four checkered flags in a row. Doing so would be key for his championship aspirations because of the eight drivers who have accomplished the feat, five have gone on to win the Cup championship.
